Meet Me: The Woman Behind the Needle
I’m Irina, founder of Muse Permanent Makeup, and I’ve been in the PMU world for almost nine years now. But let me rewind for a sec.
Before brows, lips, and liner became my universe, I was a skincare specialist — and before that? Tech. Yep. I hold an information technology degree (so very on-brand for San Francisco, right?). But becoming a mom flipped my world upside down. Suddenly I wanted work that didn’t just pay bills — it had to nurture my soul and help people.
My “aha” moment? Getting eyeliner tattooed when my son was just two. Life. Changing. For two weeks straight, I blessed my technician like she’d invented fire. I felt confident, polished, and — finally — like me again. That spark led me to dive headfirst into permanent makeup, and I never looked back.
Why PMU Matters (and Why I Get So Fired Up About It)
Here’s the deal: permanent makeup is powerful. Done right, it saves time, builds confidence, and lets you wake up looking like your best self.
But done wrong? Disaster.
I’ve seen it all — brows that look like Sharpie markers, lips that fade into purple bruises, eyeliner that could scare small children. Clients come to me heartbroken, asking if I can fix the mess someone else created. Spoiler: most of the time, I can. But I don’t want anyone to ever go through that in the first place.
That’s why I started this blog.
The Vision for The Permanent Edit
Think of this as your no-BS beauty guide. Here’s what you’ll find here:
Basically: I’m here to spill the tea, keep it real, and protect you from Groupon disasters.
My Promise to You
I’ll give it to you straight — the good, the bad, the “what were they thinking?”
I’ll mix facts with a little wit because beauty should be fun, not stressful.
And above all, I’ll show you how permanent makeup can actually make your life easier, not harder.
Ready to Dive In?
Stick around — new posts are dropping regularly. We’ll cover everything from Lip Blush vs. Lip Tattoo (hint: one ages like wine, the other like milk) to Powder Brows vs. Microblading (spoiler: not all brows age gracefully).
And if you’re already convinced that you’re done wasting mornings drawing on brows or lips? Book your appointment at Muse PMU in San Francisco. Let’s give you results you’ll love for years, not hate for decades.
